APHCRI 2011 Stream Funding - Expressions of Interest
APHCRI 2011 Stream Funding - Coordination and the Vulnerable Consumer Health Care Research.
APHCRI is now calling for expressions of interest for up to six projects to provide evidence on how primary care for vulnerable consumers can be consumer centred.
Funding for individual projects up to $150,000 will cover travel and associated costs. Expressions of Interest have closed.

General Practice Prize for Excellence in Population Health
This is awarded to a general practitioner who has demonstrated exceptional merit in promoting health in Western Australia. The aim of this award is to promote the role and status of general practitioners in contributing to the improvement of population health. RACGP WA Budding Researcher Award
The aim of this award is to promote the role and staus of general practice research in Western Australia. GP's are to self nominate, with a College member co-signing the application. RACGP WA Budding Researcher Award nomination form and criteria can be found below.

Early Career Pathways in General Practice
A diverse group of primary health care professionals gathered to talk to medical students and registrars about possible career pathways in General Practice. This was the first collaborative event for PHCRED WA in 2011. See the April newsletter for more information.

The PHCRED conference was held on the 12th November with the largest attendance to date. It was an enjoyable day with many opportunites to network with like minded people from the Primary Health Care research community.

MIMS sponsored "The Best Presentation" Award, this was awarded to Paola Chivers.
RACGP sponsored "The Best Student Presentation" Award, this was awarded to Dr Jenny Prentice.
